UETDREL006 – Work safely in the Vicinity of Live Electrical Apparatus as a Non-Electrical Worker otherwise known as Overhead Spotters Course covers compliance with working safely near live electrical apparatus, including powerlines, for non-electrical workers. Participants will learn to operate safely up to the defined Safe Approach Distance (SAD) and adhere to established safety procedures for non-electrical activities, such as vegetation control, scaffolding, rigging, painting, and other tasks near live electrical equipment. The course also covers the preparation of risk assessment control measures, including job safety assessments.
The course does not cover work performed by other competent operatives within the defined safe working zone. The safe working zone is defined by relevant state or territory regulations, industry guidelines, and codes of practice for working near live electrical and mechanical apparatus.

Due to the short nature of this Overhead Spotters course RPL is not offered
