Certificate II Public Safety PUA20622 (Fire Fighting)

COURSE OVERVIEW

This qualification is suitable for emergency response team members, fire fighters and individuals responsible for public safety including production workers, maintenance staff, managers and supervisors.

This certificate is made up of eleven units; 6 core units and choose 2 electives from group A and 3 electives from group B.

  • PUAFIR220 – Respond to isolated structure fire.
  • PUAWHS001 – Follow defined WHS policies and procedures.
  • PUAFIR206 – Check installed fire safety systems.
  • PUAFIR204 – Respond to wildfire.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Where units of competency within this qualification have pre-requisite requirements, the learner must have been assessed as competent in a fire context prior to undertaking training and assessment.

DELIVERY AND DURATION

This course can be conducted by flexible delivery.
