COURSE OVERVIEW
Fire Safety Officer: This course is a compilation of 6 units of competency taken from the Public Safety Training Package to meet the requirements of NSW Health, for people to perform the role of Fire Safety Officer (FSO)
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be awarded with the following: Fire Safety Officer Certificate:
- PUAFER001 – Identify, prevent and report potential facility emergency situations
- PUAFER002 – Ensure facility emergency prevention procedures, systems and processes are implemented
- PUAFER004 – Respond to facility emergencies
- PUAFER005 – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
- PUAFER006 – Lead an emergency control organisation
- PUAFER008 – Confine small emergencies in facilities
VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to consider the following job roles:
- Fire Safety Officer
This course is appropriate for NSW Health Staff and employees
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Enclosed footwear, suitable attire, bring with them a pen/pencil
DELIVERY AND DURATION
Duration: 3 days Time: 8.30am to 4.30pm Fire Safety Officer is open to the public and can be delivered on our site or yours upon request. Learners will receive training in both theory and practical activities. Morning/afternoon tea and lunch is provided when delivered at TTA
