First Aid in Education and Care Setting Refresher (HLTAID012)

COURSE OVERVIEW

 First Aid in Education and Care Setting Refresher describe the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response to infants, children and adults. The unit applies to educators and support staff working within an education and care setting who are required to respond to a first aid emergency. This course incorporates Provide First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Manaagement. Refresher training is rcommended every 3 years, anaphylaxis and asthma 12 months

Upon successful completion of this course participants will be able to consider the following job roles:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Enclosed footwear, wear suitable attire, bring with them a pen. Learners must have previously completed the initial Education and Care First Aid course. Evidence is required upon enrolment

DELIVERY AND DURATION

Duration: 2 days Time: 8.30am to 4.30pm First Aid in Education and Care Setting Refresher is open to the public and can be delivered on our site or ours. Learners will receive training in both theory and practical activities. Morning/afternoon tea/coffee and lunch is provided when delivered at TTA

RPL/LEARNING PATHWAYS

RPL is not offered. Thi unit of competency is from the HLT Health training package. For further information please visit www.cshisc.com.au

LEARNER SUPPORT

If you require special assistance, including language literacy, and numeracy please notify us and support services can be arranged. Students that require any special dietary requirements should contact the Academy prior to commencement of course so alternative arrangements can be made.
