Manage First Aid (HLTAID016)

COURSE OVERVIEW

Manage First Aid covers the skills and knowledge required to address the establishment and maintenance of facilities to enable the provision of appropriate first aid in the workplace.

  • Establish a workplace first aid facility
  • Manage first aid facility
  • Manage workplace first aid records
  • Evaluate the provision of first aid in the workplace

VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to consider the following job roles:

  • Emergency response team member
  • Occupational Nurse
  • First Aider

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Enclosed footwear, suitable attire, bring with them a pen.

DELIVERY AND DURATION

Duration: 1 day Time: 8.30am to 4.30pm Manage First Aid is open to the public and can be delivered on your site or ours. Learners will receive training in both theiry and practical activities. Morning / afternoon tea/coffee and lunch is provided when delivered at TTA.

RPL/LEARNING PATHWAYS

RPL is not offered.

LEARNER SUPPORT

If you require special assistance, including language literacy, and numeracy please notify us and support services can be arranged. Students that require any special dietary requirements should contact the Academy prior to commencement of course so alternative arrangements can be made. A Student Handbook is available from this website and our office which provides students with training guidelines.  All students have the right to lodge an appeal or complaint in regard to the outcome of this unit.
