Permit Coordintator / Issuer

COURSE OVERVIEW

Permit Coordinator is specifically designed for people who are required to issue and coordinate permit work. Permits are called clearances by some organisations. This course can incorporate your organisations permit system, risk assessments and equipment. Types of permits include:

  • Excavation
  • Heights
  • Hot Work
  • Confined spaces
  • High Voltage (HV)
  • Cranes and Rigging

Requirements identified on the permit may include testing of atmospheric conditions, ventilation and control measures such as isolation, barriers, LOTO, signs, communications and incident response The work permit system includes:

  • Types of permits
  • legislation
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Equipment
  • JSEA
  • Risk assessment

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  •  Access and apply site safety procedures, personal safety measures, operational safety measures, maintain personal safety for job, identify and report incidents
  • Identify the need for work permit, prepare work site, raise and issue work permits, monitor work for compliance, receive end of day report, close work permit

VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to consider the following job roles:

  • Permit Issuer

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Safety boots or enclosed footwear, suitable attire, pen/pencil

DELIVERY AND DURATION

Duration: 1 day Time: 8.30am to 4.30pm Permit Coordinator is open to the public and is conducted upon request. This course can be delivered on our site or ours. Learners will receive training in both theory and practical activities. Morning/afternoon tea/coffee and lunch is provided when delivered at TTA

RPL/LEARNING PATHWAYS
