COURSE OVERVIEW

 Risk Assessment is an integral part of nearly everything we do today. The aim of this course is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to identify hazards and apply risk principles and rank these hazards using various types of risk matrixes and then to apply appropriate controls to minimise the risk As Low As Reasonable Practicable (ALARP)

  • Access and apply site safety procedures
  • Apply personal safety measures
  • Apply operational safety measures
  • Maintain personal wellbeing for job, identify and report incidents
  • Basic understanding of AS4360

VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to consider the following job roles:

  • Supervisory positions
  • Part of a workplace safety committee
  • Writting JSEA’s and SWMS

This unit is appropriate for those working in operational role at worksites within:

  • Civil construction
  • Mining, Oil and Gas
  • General industry and trades
  • Manufacturing

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Safety boots or enclosed footwear, suitable attire, pen/pencil

DELIVERY AND DURATION

Duration: 4 hours Time: 8.30am to12.30pm Risk Assessment Facilitator is open to the public and is conducted upon request. This course cna be delivered on your site or ours. Learners will receive training in both theory and practical activities. Morning tea/coffee are provided when delivered at TTA

RPL/LEARNING PATHWAYS
