SafeWork NSW HSR 5 Day course
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is for Health and Safety Representatives (HSR) that have been elected to represent a workgroup(s) for their workplace under the NSW Work Health and Safety Act. It aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of workplace WHS conultation as an integral part of effective WHS management system (WHSMS) This course is an approved SafeWork NSW Course and meets the requirements of SafeWork NSW training package. Participants will need to complete all topics set out in the course guide provided by SafeWork NSW
LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Work Health and Safety Framework
- Consultation, representation and participation
- Role of the HSR in issue resolution and minimising risks
- Inspections
- Notifiable incidents and investigation
- Provisional Improvement notices (PIN’s)
- Ceasing unsafe work
VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of this course, particpants will be able to consider the following job roles:
- Health and Safety Representative

- General industry

- Mining, manufacturing and construction

Enclosed footwear, suitable attire, bring with them a pen
DELIVERY AND DURATION
Duration: 5 days Time: 9.00am to 4.00pm NSW HSR Rep is conducted on a frequent basis at the Academy and can be delivered at your site upon request. Morning / afternoon tea and lunch is provided when delivered at TTA Duration: 5 Days
