General Occupancy (PUAFER001 and PUAFER004)

COURSE OVERVIEW

General Occupancy introduces learners to emergencies that may occur in facilities and the equipment used to prevent, protect and combat these emergencies. This course is considered as an introduction to Facility Emergency Response.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  • Worker responsibilities
  • Emergencies that may occur within the facility including AS3745 code colours
  • Identify, monitor and report situations that could lead to facility emergencies
  • Identify, report and correct situations that could prevent facilityemergencies from being handled safely
  • Prepare, report and respond to emergencies situations
  • Evacuate from an andangered work area

VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to consider the following job roles:

  • Member of an Emergency Control Organisation
  • Site compliance

This unit is appropriate for those working in:

  • Any organisation

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 Safety boots or enclosed footwear, suitable attire and bring with them a pen/pencil

DELIVERY AND DURATION

Duration: 2 hours Time: 8.30am to 10.30am General Occupancy is open to the public and is conducted upon request. This course can be delived on your site or ours. Conducted over four hours, learners will receive training in both theory and practical activities. Tea/coffee is provided when delivered at TTA

RPL/LEARNING PATHWAYS

RPL is not offered. Students who complete this unit of competency may be eligible for entry into further study such as: PAU20619 Certificate II Public Safety
