PUASAR025 Undertake Confined Space Rescue

COURSE OVERVIEW

This unit covers the competency to conduct confined space rescue. This course has been designed specifically for those persons who may be required to rescue a worker from an enclosed space.

  • Assess and manage confined space rescue
  • Determine location and condition of casualties
  • Gain entry to confined space
  • Remove casualties
  • Conclude rescue operations

VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to consider the following job roles:

  • Work in specialist areas where confined space work may be required.

This Unit is appropriate for those working in a operational role at worksites within:

  • Emergency response team members
  • Civil Construction

  • General Industry and Trades

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Participants are required to be medically fit and comfortable working in enclosed spaces. All participants are required to wear safety boots or enclosed footwear, gloves, hard hat and bring a pen/pencil and clean shaven

DELIVERY AND DURATION

This Course is open to the public and is delivered at our purpose built facility over a one day period. This course is conducted upon request. Participants will be facilitated in a number of ways including both practical and theory activities. Face to Face training will be under the guidance of one of our qualified and experienced trainers who hold the relevant and up to date qualifications and Vocational Education. Morning and afternoon tea/coffee and lunch are provided when conducted at TTA.
