Warden / Evacuation (PUAFER005/008)

COURSE OVERVIEW

Warden/Evacuation training provides learners with skills and knowledge to respond and control a variety of incidents such as: Fire, Disaster, Bomb Threat, Medical Emergency, External Emergency, Robbery – threats of intimidation and violence and Evacuation. Learners will be involved in many practical activities during the day including: evacuation from a smoke filled room (a favourite with most who complete the course) and “HANDS ON” fire extinguisher use. Refresher training is recommended every 2 years

This course contians 2 units of competency: PUAFER005 – Operate as part of an emergency control organisation and PUAFER008 – Confine small workplace emergencies in facilities

VOCATIONAL OUTCOMES

Upon successful completion of this course, learners will be able to consider the following job roles:

  • Emergency Response Team Member (ECO)
  • Warden

This unit is appropriate for those working in:

  • Any organisation

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

 Safety boots or enclosed footwear, suitable attire, pen/pencil

DELIVERY AND DURATION

Duration: 1 day Time: 8.30am to 4.30pm Warden / Evacuation is conducted once a month at the Academy and can be delivered on your site upon request. Learners will receive training in both theory and practical activities. Morning/afternoon tea/coffee and lunch is provided when delivered at TTA

RPL/LEARNING PATHWAYS

RPL is not offered. Students who complete this Unit Of Competency may be eligible for further study such as PUA20619 Certificate II in Public Safety
